Haystack

Latest version:1.2.0
Release date:

An editor for OpenQA needles. OpenQA matches screen regions to judge interface state; this tool provides a graphical way to crop the match area, set properties and save the needle, avoiding hand-edited JSON. It suits engineers maintaining automated tests for distributions such as openSUSE.

Haystack is a small GNOME application for editing OpenQA needles. A needle is a screenshot on which areas have been marked that must match with the output of a system under test in OpenQA.

The application works on a local needles repository. You open the repository folder, select a needle to edit, and start drawing. You can also change the screenshot, either from a local file, or copy-pasting one from elsewhere (for example a failed test in OpenQA).

For any feedback, questions or general issues, please file an issue on the GitLab page.
